Stallan-Brand are proposing an ambitious office development in Glasgow City Centre. The proposed development looks to break down the impenetrable mass which currently exists on the site as the former BHS department store. We have looked to design the new development to add a contextually responsive proposal and contribute to the public realm with increased site permeability and ground-level activation. Our proposal has designed an exemplar office led development in Glasgow’s City Centre inspired by the city’s rich Victorian commercial and bank building architecture and the its urban grid-iron plan. The proposal creates a new public space at its centre that links to a new active City Lanes network. The building includes new retail space, boutique office and high quality Grade A office accommodation.
