Algiers Harbour Masterplan

Algiers, Algeria

The City of Algiers is a stunning historic urban environment that has Unesco World Heritage Site status. Despite its qualities, it faces many challenges that our transformational masterplan proposal sought to resolve. Working with the Algerian Government and the Mayor we formulated a bold vision that reconnected the City back to its waterfront.

Proposal to reinstate the historic connection between the Fisherman's Mosque and Algiers Harbour. Algiers has had an extraordinary history of conflict dating back to the Phoenicians. The city's architecture was clearly influenced by Roman and Arab occupation and in the last century by the French colonists.
