Hillhead Baptist Church

Glasgow, Scotland

Designed by iconic architect Thomas Lennox Watson, Hillhead Baptist Church was entirely vacated in 2016. We have been approached to work up proposals for a sensitive scheme that would historically protect the building and safeguard its future as a significant local community hub. An overarching conservation approach will be implemented, retaining the church's cultural significance and status as a heritage asset to Hillhead and wider Glasgow.

Working closely with the client body, we looked to relocate the church into a new purpose built facility at ground, providing modern well equipped space to meet their brief. The remaining building would be partially demolished and reinstated into 28 luxury apartments behind the existing stone walls.
