The new Earlston Primary School, designed by Stallan-Brand, is a modern community campus located on the High Street in the Scottish Borders.
The facility features a two-storey education block for 191 pupils and an early years nursery for 60 children. The campus also houses a community library and shared multi-use spaces.
The school acts as a central community anchor. It seamlessly integrates the public library and community spaces, serving both education and the wider public.
The teaching and shared spaces are designed to be calm, generous, and flexible. The layout prioritises contemporary learning and pupil wellbeing
The campus is set within a structured landscape featuring high-quality play areas and public spaces, and includes safe pathways that connect children to their homes
The building presents a thoughtful, domestic scale that complements the traditional village environment of Earlston.
