Barclays Workplace

Glasgow

For a decade, Stallan-Brand has been driving regeneration at Clyde Place, a former derelict waterfront city centre site. The location is now a unique urban destination home to a Barclays European headquarters, new Government offices, and iconic urban residential and enterprise space.

Situated on the Southern Bank of the River Clyde, the sites central location affords it a unique opportunity to benefit from the established amenities and infrastructure to the north while supporting the regeneration initiative in the adjacent communities of Laurieston and New Gorbals.

The campus was built with sustainability and inclusivity in mind, prioritising employee wellbeing and net zero operations supported by an on-site energy centre that uses air source heat pumps and solar panels to provide the campus's heating, cooling, and hot water with 100% renewable energy.

The campus accomodates 5000 people within a workplace setting that is the absolute opposite of institutional. Both externally and internally the environment is intentionally varied, providing human centred spaces that encourage people to move freely.

The public realm that unites the three building blocks is an important feature of the workplace experience.
